This weekend, Elle and I got an inside peek at CharCon 2011, a mysterious and fascinating place full of grown-ups playing dress-up together; naturally, it’s a perfect fit for Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School.
We sold raffle tickets with Sarkany and visited the various and sundry lairs devoted to video games, board games, card games, and RPGs.
Sketchy’s had a mini session in a teeny suite on the 12th floor. Having our class in a hotel room made our burlesque-ing even more tawdry, especially since the air conditioning didn’t work at all for the two-hour session. It was a great crowd to meet new artists and art appreciators. And fanboys. At one point, an audience member actually shouted, “Boobies!” Keep it classy, CharCon!
This gentleman bought one hundred raffle tickets. One. Hundred. Raffle tickets. He then received a hug.
