It's a Horrorful Life!

You'll see a lot of strange things from now on.

Sketchy’s at CharCon 2011: Charleston Does Steampunk

Elle made her own goggles, and that is Sarkany's real hair!

This weekend, Elle and I got an inside peek at CharCon 2011, a mysterious and fascinating place full of grown-ups playing dress-up together; naturally, it’s a perfect fit for Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School.

We sold raffle tickets with Sarkany and visited the various and sundry lairs devoted to video games, board games, card games, and RPGs.

This fellow had various sparklies to vend, I believe.

I paparazzi'd this romantic moment!

These guys did not buy any tickets. Also, this room smelled like feet.

Furries are my favorite ever!

Fabulous prizes!

Sketchy’s had a mini session in a teeny suite on the 12th floor.  Having our class in a hotel room made our burlesque-ing even more tawdry, especially since the air conditioning didn’t work at all for the two-hour session.  It was a great crowd to meet new artists and art appreciators.  And fanboys.  At one point, an audience member actually shouted, “Boobies!”  Keep it classy, CharCon!

This guy bought a hundred raffle tickets. A. Hundred. Raffle tickets!

This gentleman bought one hundred raffle tickets.  One.  Hundred.  Raffle tickets.  He then received a hug.

You'll see me around town in art classes (and not always as the model), plays and movie shoots! I'm always working on the next Wayward Girls School of Burlesque show or photo shoot, and of course I brake for horror - any and all horror!
