Today, my friends, is a grand holiday–Guy Fawkes Day. Guy Fawkes Day is a celebration in the United Kingdom of November 5, 1605, the day the Gunpowder Plot was discovered and prevented. Guy Fawkes was one of the conspirators of the Plot. They planned to assassinate King James I and replace him with his daughter Princess Elizabeth.
